Baby Socks
Knit these adorable socks for baby! Three sizes are provided: small (0-3 months); medium (6 months) and large (1 year) but if you’re unsure about size, knit one of the larger sizes as babies have a way of growing into them! This pattern includes three sizes and three optional cuffs. Try them all!
We primarily use fingering weight yarn for these tiny toe toppers and we like to use leftovers of specialty yarns, such as Hand Maiden Casbah, Ancient Arts Hat Trick but you can knit them with larger yarns too. You just get a slightly bigger sock!
Here’s what you need:
- A 50g ball of fingering weight yarn will produce approximately 3 pairs of baby socks.
- 2.75mm double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
- One tapestry/wool needle.
Gauge: 28 sts and 40 rows = 4” (10 cm) over stocking stitch
