The design:
Aster is a highly textured flora inspired round ripple. It features ruffled sections. Aster is an intermediate level pattern that requires some concentration and counting. It can be used as a wall hanging when mounted on a hoop or continue on with the last rounds and make it a table cover or small lap rug

Materials needed:
Aster was designed using 4 ply/fingering weight yarn. My sample used a 3 mm hook and 350 m of White Gum Wool, it measured approx. 42 cm, point to point. I mounted on a 45 cm craft ring.
You can repeat the last rounds to make a larger design
The ruffles in this design may not translate well to heavier weight yarns.

45-50 cm Craft hoop - optional

Recommended Hook size:
3-3.5 mm for 4ply

Or hook appropriate for your chosen yarn weight

Gauge: rounds 1-4 = 7.5cm
