White Gum Wool 4ply fingering
The base is a White Gum Wool 8ply super Fine 17 micron ecologically farmed Australian merino. In minimum 100gm skeins. The 4ply have a 2 plied construction and have an approximate meterage of 472m. This base is not superwashed and is feltable.
The yarn is an Australian Merino sourced from Tasmania. It is a single origin merino, raised organically on a farm that do not mules no dock their sheep.
Mahogany Turtle uses high quality acid based protein dyes which like all hand dyed yarns requires respect while laundering. I recommend hand washing, alone, in your chosen wool wash, drying flat in the shade. Some minimal bleeding may occur in the first wash, this isn’t a fault. Wash the item separately to avoid any transfer. If you are wanting to combine light and dark colours please do a test swatch.
