Chelsea Yarns Advent 2022

Apres Ski Hat was designed to use the gorgeous colors in the Chelsea Yarns Advent set. Stripes of soft color swirl around a simple-to-knit hat.

The Apres Ski Hat is worked in the round from the brim towards the crown.

Size: Adult Medium

Finished Measurements: 20”/50 cm hat circumference, 10”/25 cm depth.

Gauge: 16 sts and 20 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch holding one strand of Glitter Sock together with one strand of Suri, using size needle to obtain gauge.

Needles: US 9 (5.5 mm) 16”/40 cm circular needles and US 9 (5.5 mm) DPN or size needed for gauge. US 8 (5 mm) 16”/40 cm circular needles or one size smaller than size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Yarn: 200 yards each of two strands of fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn. 13 total stripe colors are used.

In the sample, the Chelsea Yarns Advent 2022 Set – consisting of 25 mini skeins of Chelsea Luxe Glitter Sock (75% Merino Wool, 20% Nylon, 5% Stellina; 80 yards/20 g) fingering weight (CYCA #1) was held together with one strand of Chelsea Luxe Suri (74% Baby Suri, 26% Silk; 328 yards/50 g) fingering weight (CYCA #1), 1 skein.
