Angel Snood
This is a very quick and easy project to knit that requires only basic cable knowledge for a dramatic effect.
Yarn Suggestions
We have used Colinette Point 5 for our samples though you could easily substitute it for any slubby handspun bulky weight yarn.
For an alternative you can also use Colinette Point 5 along with Giotto, knit together throughout. This creates an interesting play with colour and texture.
Needles
The pattern uses a 12mm needle which isn’t available in US sizing, the closest being US 17, this will make no noticable difference to the pattern.
You will also need a cable needle although size is less important here. You can simply use any double pointed needle you have, slip the stitches to hold at the front or back depending on the pattern, then slip them back onto the left hand needle ready for knitting.
Buttons
The buttons used in our photo are Di’s handmade extra large slate buttons available exclusively from Di’s shop or online here. You will need 2.
