Ambrosia Cardigan
The Ambrosia Cardigan is a relaxed, slightly cropped, striped cardigan with an alternating eyelet and ribbing pattern. The modified drop shoulder and shaping along the top of the sleeves help to give it a better fit than a traditional drop shoulder silhouette. The cardigan is knit flat from the bottom up in separate pieces that need to be seamed together and then finished with a double knit button band.
The pattern is charted. Only partial written instructions are included for clarity and to help those new to chart reading. Also included is a chart modification suggestion for single color cardigans.
The design was inspired by the movie Paint. I wanted my design to capture the same whimsy as Ambrosia, the character who wore a similar cardigan.

For reference, the sample was knit with 4.5 inches of positive ease; suggested ease is 1-6” positive ease. There is no waist shaping, so make sure to take the measurement of the widest part of your body it will cover, i.e., high hip or bust.
Sizes 1 and 7-10 have not been tested, and I am offering a free copy of the pattern in exchange for testing them. Message me if you’re interested.

I used Fibra Natura Dona yarn. The MC was pink, and the CC was blue.

* 21 st and 31 rows per 4in x 4in/10cm x 10 cm in the pattern repeat
