Altar Lace
Materials:
- Linen Thread No. 20, or Crochet Cotton No. 20.
- Two knitting pins No. 14, 14 in. or 15 in. length, or 1 circular needle No. 14, 36 in. to 42 in. length.
- Traditionally an altar length lace should be worked in linen thread but of course, if not available, crochet cotton will have to be used. The amount of thread needed depends on the length of the altar lace. 1 oz. of linen thread (1 ball of cotton) will work about 7 in. lace, in the width of 13-14 in.
Measurements: 14 in. deep. Length: one double rose-leaf panel 6 in., one panel of the Cross design 7 in.
Notes: No gauge given. First published 1961, Dover reprint 1972.
