This sassy tunic is knitted in a bulky weight yarn for extra core warmth. Seriously, this is so warm, I’m glad it has short sleeves!

The ribbing for the sleeves are worked first and placed onto holders. The body is knit in the round from the bottom up, working the pocket seamlessly as you knit. At the underarms the body is joined to the sleeve ribbing and the yoke is worked in the round to the neck, while working set-in sleeve shaping. There are some short rows worked at the tops of the sleeve caps, then the shoulders are joined with a three needle bind off.

Shown in Quince & Co. Puffin (100% American wool; 100 gram ball = approx 112 yards / 102 m)
4 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8) skeins in color Nasturtium or approx 448 (510, 570, 640, 700, 750, 820) yards in a comparable earth-friendly yarn.

Knitting Needles:
Size US 11 (8 mm): 16” and 32” (40 and 80 cm) circular needle and double pointed needles (dpns);
Size US 13 (9 mm): 24” and 40” (60 and 100 cm) circular needle.
Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions:
Stitch markers; stitch holders or waste yarn; two cable needles; tapestry needle.

Gauge:
11 sts and 16 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in St st with larger needles;
17 sts = 4¼“ (11 cm) in Cable Panel with larger needles.
