Aldgate
Looking upwards from ground level in urban areas can bring a new perspective to architectural features. The Aldgate Vest was inspired by a protruding building corner which was designed to create shade for the street below. The lower section of the vest has a twisted stitch pillar pattern. The pillars then divide to form the canopy pattern on the upper body. The pattern features intricate twisted stitches, which are worked on two different backgrounds.
The Aldgate Vest is worked flat from the bottom up and is seamed. The integral cap sleeves are shaped and knitted at the same time as the front and back. Available in 11 sizes to fit bust measurements ranging from 30 inches to 50 inches, this pattern includes written instructions and detailed charts.
