“This design was inspired by lilies in a pond, ready to burst into flower,” explains Emma Vining.

“The waterlily motifs are knitted with twisted stitches, with a large central flower bud and two surrounding leaves. Each motif is linked vertically by twisted stitches flowing between the bud and leaves. Horizontal lines of garter stitch extend out from each lily, linking to the neighbouring plant and to the garment sides.”
