I didn’t start out a pattern designer. Rather, I launched my first fiber business—Izzy Knits—in 2018 as an online local yarn shop. For several years, I curated a thoughtful collection of yarns, tools, kits, books, and notions for knitting, weaving, and crochet. But as Izzy Knits’ online presence grew, I realized I no longer had time for what truly inspired me… making! So, after much introspection, I took a leap and rebranded as Make & Made Fiber Crafts with a dual focus… MAKE (patterns & kits) and MADE (handmade finished items). Today, I am a full-time maker who designs, knits, weaves, and sews a variety of home goods and lifestyle accessories featuring bold colors, geometric shapes, and complex textures. With my husband, Dave, I love to show my work and talk with other fiber-loving folks at local craft fairs and farmers markets. When not making, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, pilates, travel, and cuddling with Bella, our chi-mix pup.
