My name Alexandra, I am an artist and knitwear designer. I love to blend textures, colors, cultures and techniques to create unique pieces of wearable and decorative art. Born in Uzbekistan, I developed an early interest in various fiber arts such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, weaving, fabric dyeing, and embroidery. This foundation led me to pursue theater costume design at the Uzbek Academy of Fine Arts and later, fashion design at The Art Institute of Dallas after moving to the United States.

My professional journey includes working in the apparel industry for companies like Cold Water Creek and Soft Surroundings before establishing myself as an independent knitwear designer. My knitwear and crochet designs have been featured in prominent publications such as Vogue Knitting, Noro magazines and books, Malabrigo books, Knitter’s Magazine and Sixth & Spring Books, among others.

In addition to designing, I am a passionate knitting and crochet instructor, teaching classes and workshops across the United States and overseas. You can find me among the teachers at Vogue Knitting LIVE, Interweave Escapes, Interweave Yarn Festival, DFW Fiber Fest, Rowan Connect, Hill Country Weavers Retreat, YarnOver, & other palaces and events. My popular Dragon Stitch designs, like the Dragon Lore shawls and the I Am Dragon trilogy, showcase an innovative approach to knitwear. I live and work in Dallas, Texas​.
