I am so excited to be launching a brand new British Eco Luxury yarn in a blend that is currently not available to knitters and crocheters – HeartSpun British eco yarn

HeartSpun is a 4ply / fingering weight blend of 70% Bluefaced Leicester wool and 30% Tencel™.

Sold in 100g, 50g skeins or 25g wound balls, HeartSpun comes in 6 gorgeous colours – Natural, Raspberry, Pink, Purple, Fern Green and Blue.

These reflect the Woolly Chic colour palette and are also the colours of my Granny’s favourite flowers, Love in a Mist (Nigella).

Yarn Info : – approx 420m / 100g

– 30 stitches per 12cm / 3 mm – 3.5 mm needles

– Cool hand wash only

Patterns suitable for this yarn include the Harmony of Leaves Scarf crochet pattern and the Love in the Mist fingerless gloves knitting pattern.

HeartSpun Yarn has been spun from the fleece of Bluefaced Leicester sheep, which is both strong and soft and drapes beautifully once knitted. These elegant sheep are blessed with fine, soft and semi-lustrous fleece.

Tencel™ is made from renewable wood pulp from Eucalyptus trees grown in certified sustainable forests in Europe and South Africa. It is 100% biodegradable and the production of Tencel™ requires less energy and water than fibres such as bamboo, cotton and viscose.

Combined together, Bluefaced Leicester and Tencel™ create a beautiful soft yarn with a luxurious smooth sheen. It is strong, breathable, naturally anti-bacterial and hypo allergenic. It also allows dyes to penetrate deeply into the fibre resulting in impressive colour brilliance.
