Cédille
Cédille is the first Wool Crossing brand yarn born from the union of two cultures, the French and the Portuguese, through the fibers of the two breeds of merino sheep from Arles and Alentejo.
Hence the name Cèdille, the name of the graphic symbol of the French and Portuguese languages which, placed under the letter c (ç) in front of the vowels a, o, u gives it the sound of a deaf s.
Languages, like typical fibers of the various areas of the world, speak of the culture and of the people they belong to.
Cèdille is a 3-ply woollen yarn, very sringy, soft and particularly suitable for materic garments that require a lightness.
It does have an excellent stitch definition and is therefore very suitable for working with textured stitches and cables.
Arles wool has a characteristic pure white color while Alentejo wool is typically intense and dark brown. Wool Crossing Cèdille will be offered in two shades: full color obtained from dyeing on a white base and the melange color obtained from dyeing on a mixed base of white and black wool.
