Woollin, a combination of the words Wool and Linen. Heather is the additive used for a mixture of colors, in this case a mixture of white and black wool and linen. This creates these beautiful diffuse colors. Woollin is a yarn that is very suitable for fair isle knitting and therefore a beautiful, hand-dyed alternative to a Shetland yarn. The wool comes from German sheep and the linen comes from France. Together it forms an incredibly beautiful and durable rustic yarn.
