Nylon-reinforced WGW superfine merino.

This is a worsted-spun, 17 micron 4-ply, with lots of loft and elasticity (hence the relatively long meterage). The sock yarn comes in 5 colours, inspired by the landscape in which the wool is grown--the high midlands of Tasmania. It is extremely soft, and can be worn next-to-skin. It will felt, but does so rather reluctantly (and with beautiful results, if that is what you’re after!), but is certainly safe to hand wash and block without fear of felting.

Indie dyers using this yarn as a base can also be found here.

Care: Hand wash, cold. Dry flat. May be dry-cleaned.
