Crannog is a yarn which is a Yarn Yard exclusive, you won’t find it anywhere else.

It’s a smooth, soft yarn which has an almost silky feel, as befits a 100% pure merino, and little bit of a halo.

This is a 6ply (superwash) laceweight yarn with a fabulous drape. At 500 metres per 100 grammes, it has a little more weight than finer lace yarns and would be suited equally well to garments and lacey shawls and scarves.

It comes in 150g skeins instead of the more usual 100g and has 750m per skein.

I have chosen to offer it in these larger skeins which can make a large shawl or two good-sized scarves. Two skeins would be more than plenty for a cardigan.
