Our Babylama consists of 90% of the fine llama wool of the camel colt animal and 10% of the merino lamb, which are spun to the wick yarn.

This precious wool mix is easy handled and get an evenly stitch structure. It is a perfect yarn for all kinds of the samples.

The llama is a domesticated South American camelid. The llama wool has a pronounced fine crinkled hair. Many fibers of the underwool have an air channel which causes the light fiber weight. The wool hardly contains lanolin (wool grease), only 5% in fleece. That is why this yarn is perfectly suited for babies and those who is allergic to the sheep wool.

Llama wool comes from Argentina as merino wool. We can control regularly the humane treatment of the animals and the working conditions on-the-spot.
