Venice
The VENICE yarn is an I-cord or chainette yarn. The yarn is not spun, it is knitted using four stitches in the round on a machine. The knitting head uses the lurex to create the chain. When the needle comes up to grab the yarn to create a new stitch a bunch of the fine baby alpaca fibers are being knitted into the chain.
The result is a very light weight fluffy yarn. The lurex is surrounded by the alpaca fibers and therefore it is non scratchy, perfect for cuddling scarves or shawls. The yarn is as iight as air and super soft.
We are offering the first two colors at this time. There will be total of five shades with gold lurex (cream, beige, camel, musk, brown) and five shades with silver (snow, light gray, silver, charcoal, black) in the future.
The mill in Italy will start knitting these others colors soon. To create this yarn takes a long time, but the result is gorgeous.
