About the Yarn Base
Guenevere is a yarn that begs to be made into something lacy and lightweight. The 2-ply structure plays nicely with yarn-overs and eyelets, creating a fabric that wants to remain more open and airy. The tonal quality of the color adds depth and dimension to your projects; this yarn has a few secrets, but it’s willing to share them with you.

About the Name
Guenevere is a major figure in Arthurian literature as the queen, married to King Arthur. She is probably most well-known for her affair with Sir Lancelot, one of the best knights of the Round Table. When the affair comes to light, Arthur sentences Guenevere to death by burning, but she is rescued by Lancelot. During the rescue, Lancelot accidentally kills two of Gawain’s brothers. Gawain seeks revenge on Lancelot and pushes for Arthur to declare war against Lancelot. Because Arthur is distracted by this war, Mordred is able to come in and take over, leading to the final battle between Arthur and Mordred where both are mortally wounded.
