This is a superb worsted 4-ply fingering from Merino d’Arles sheep which graze the slopes of the French Alpes, a wool 100% traceable. Merinos D’Arles sheep have been bred since the 19C in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France, the emphasis was and is on the production of good wool. The wool is sorted, washed and spun by many hands with great care and the minimum of chemicals. It is not super-washed so what you get is really pure wool. It has the normal warmth of wool that has not had its fibres flattened with chemicals it is soft, lustrous and very very strong.

This wool is not treated with super-wash and therefore should be washed cold either by hand or in the machine.

Naturally dyed with our usual care, it is suitable for all your fingering projects.
