I have prepared this chart to help you choose the amount and weight of the yarn you need for your project.
This handspun yarn is pretty close to the ultimate in luxury. One of the finest and most sought after fibers anywhere in the world. I use only the very best quality and finest possible cashmere fiber imported from Mongolia where the wool produced by the Cashmere goats is the best we can obtain. The cashmere is hand spun by a woolen method into a fine yarn. It is hand spun in 2 ply in your choice of 4 different yarn weights (described below) and hand-dyed.
This yarn is carefully and lovingly handspun in my home studio on my Louet S45 and hand dyed in my own kitchen, exactly as you would like to have it, custom made for each new order. Therefore you may order as many skeins as you need for your project. No more scrambling to find something small to knit just because you bought a one-of-a-kind skein of handspun.
I also have this yarn in a solid natural creamy white colour as pictured in the “cake” and on the spinning wheel.
I really LOVE this yarn. It is a huge favorite with my customers. It feels just heavenly going through your hands while working with it and is such a pleasure to wear. It is buttery soft and excellent for next to the skin projects.
For a thicker yarn try holding 2 stands together.
This yarn is suitable for wearing next to the skin and is especially suitable for knitting for baby. It would be lovely spun in a lace weight for a scarf or a lightweight shawl, in Sport, DK or Worsted weight for sweaters, tops, hats and mitts, gloves, scarves, neck warmers, blankets or shawls, baby sweaters and baby blankets… almost anything you can dream up..
