Introduced by Minerva in 1935 in 2 oz. balls. After Minerva’s merge with Columbia in the 1950s, renamed Marcelaine-Velveen, and came in 1 oz. skeins.
Novelty yarn. Crepe-like texture with very slight sheen. Lightweight, good for summer items. Dressy.
