Soft ‘n’ Single is a single ply lace weight yarn spun using fine merino wool from sheep bred for generations by ranchers in Uruguay, where the ideal climate for this breed is found. Used for your special project it produces a soft yet warm fabric with a lovely light drape and great stitch definition. The natural loft and bounce of the merino comes through well. Perfect for shawls, light weight garments and lace projects. As a feltable single, the yarn may require some patience to wind off since it will often stick together a little bit. I also recommend that if using a center-pull ball or cake you work from the OUTSIDE instead of the center. Your patience will be well rewarded, however, with your lovely results.
