I think this yarn was improperly weighted as an aran, and should instead be a bulky. Many yarns of similar composition and length-to-weight ratios are weighted as bulky; an example is GGH Goa, which is actually slightly lighter than this yarn. Also, a weight of bulky (7wpi) is more consistent with its gauge of 14st/4”.
