Keep & Share’s Offcuts Yarn is a unique recycled hand knit yarn, created on a small scale from a blend of surplus industrial yarns.

The ‘ingredient’ yarns, originally sourced from mainly Italian spinners, vary from fine cottons and linens to botany lambswool, hemp and lurex. Designer Amy Twigger Holroyd selects and combines these fine yarns, combining as many as 15 tonal strands to create the final chunky yarn. Each mix is unique in terms of colour and composition, and created in a limited edition of between 10 and 60 balls.

Amy says:
“I’ve always worked by combining fine yarns together to create my own unique mixes to knit with. The Offcuts Yarn allows me to give my leftover cones a new lease of life, and gives my customers the chance to knit with a really unique combination yarn.”
