Now one of our favourite things to do here at the mill is create bespoke one of a kind limited edition specials and these sublime skeins (and tops chums) are some of our favourites yet! This mixture of Alpaca and Merino is so bouncy and soft that we decided to call ’em how we sees ’em, and name this blend Squish.

And Squish is certainly right! We’ve spun these up as a proper Aran weigh with 176m per 100g skein, just perfect for cosy cables and floofy garter stitch your crafting dreams are made of. Squish by name, squish by nature!

We’ve been quite selective with our palette this time, keeping these two shades fairly neutral, with some magical pops of bright colour when you look closely. The Alpaca is all undyed so there is a wonderful warm dark chocolate tone to Squish dark and a delicate fawn undertone to the Squish light. We can’t wait to see this pair knit or crocheted up together. Just think of the dreamy colourwork options!
