Aurora is a wonderful, fluffy mohair blend that we get spun in Italy especially for Hobbii. The name is inspired by the beautiful and distinctive color play that is created when the two different fibers in the yarn are dyed since they absorb the color differently.The result offers exciting, bright colors with an amazing depth.

Mohair is a longhaired delight, and we cannot circumvent that mohair yarns release fibers while knitting and wearing. However, in return you get the most fabulous volume and the most desired, fuzzy look, which is seen everywhere in the fashion industry right now.

In Aurora the shiny mohair fibers are spun together with acrylic which keeps the fibers in place, helps the finished project to keep its shape, and makes the finished product softer.

Aurora looks its best when knitted loosely on big knitting needles and with relatively open stitches, e.g. in an oversized cardigan or a simple sweater.
