Cotton Waves
Cotton Waves is created with a focus on airiness, movement and flexibility. It is constructed as a tube yarn, where several strands with different thicknesses, textures and surfaces are combined into one lively structure. One of the strands is intentionally irregular, creating a soft wave-like texture, while the tube construction forms tiny air pockets inside the yarn. The result is a yarn that feels light, flexible and surprisingly comfortable.
CottonWaves can be knitted both densely and loosely. Even when worked at an open gauge, the fabric holds together beautifully, allowing you to create airy sweaters and tops on 7–8 mm needles without the fabric becoming transparent or heavy. This makes it quite unique among cotton-based yarns.
The cotton provides softness and fullness, while the linen adds texture, freshness and natural moisture management. Linen absorbs moisture quickly and releases it again just as fast, making CottonWaves especially comfortable in warmer weather.
The yarn is ideal for summer tops, lightweight sweaters, cushions, bags and relaxed everyday knitwear with a modern expression.
The colour palette is inspired by the seaside, dunes and old fishing boats along the North Sea coast. It is a yarn full of character – without being difficult to work with.
