The aorta is the main artery in the human body and this base is the main artery of Bleating Art’s indie dyeing business! We love this bouncy lovely base and you’ll always find it in the shop. It makes long-lasting socks and gorgeous cuddly shawls.

Every single skein is dyed a minimum of twice to ensure excellent colour coverage and interesting over-dyed effects. Post dyeing we soak each skein in two water baths to ensure the dye has set.

We have had no issues washing socks knitted from this base in a cold wash in the machine but recommend line drying. Some colour loss may occur over time.
