Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I’ve wanted to make handwarmers for my Maine cousins for years, and when I had this idea, it seemed like the perfect time to finally do it. Like most Mainers, my cousins are strong, resilient, resourceful women, and I wanted them to have something that reflected that, not something lacy and delicate. These handwarmers are created with a mosaic ...

Shadow knitting is simple, but the results are dramatic, as this scarf demonstrates. Knitting: Scarf
This scarf is knit in two pieces and then knit together with a three-needle bind-off. The originals were knit in one piece end-to-end, but I wanted to change the design, and allow my lace to look the same on both ends. The ribbing along the neck allows the scarf to fit better around the neck, and keep you warmer. These scarves sere popular with...
Knitting: Cowl
This stunning cowl is an easy knit because the cables are actually tuck stitches, which don’t use a cable needle. The technique is fun and easy to learn, and looks like a cable stitch. You can make the cowl as long as you’d like, and cowls are very versatile, you can wear them around your neck, or over your head, to keep your ears warm, too.

Knitting: Scarf
Pattern uses nearly all of the Mandala, and not even half of the DK as the contrast color. I used Black as the contrast as it makes the best shadow, but any dark contrasting color would work with your choice of the Mandala color of your choosing.
Knitting: Throw
The Neutrals color pack I used is no longer available, but they still have the same DK 10 Pack of 5 skeins of yarn in bright colors.
