The pandemic has turned the world upside down. Many lives have been lost. In some places political and social unrest have intensified the situation. All this has made many of us reflect on our lives and what is most important to us. May knitting this simple garter stitch project bring you some calm moments in this time of RefleXion.

Knitting: Cowl
The Soul Hugger Cowl is a very easy one skein pattern that knits up super-fast! It is knit top down in the round. This beautifully soft baby merino wool is handspun by nomadic Bedouin women in the Israeli dessert and hand-dyed by Israeli artist schlomi. Each skein is a piece of art. The pattern is designed to use up the entire skein of yarn.

Happy Mother’s Day to my mother Mia! The two braids on this shawlette that I designed for my mother symbolize our lives, side by side. Even though we live on different continents we are closely connected.
Knitting: Cowl
I like simple accessories with a twist. The twist in this cowl looks like a zipper in the front. If you use two colors with a strong contrast, that “zipper” will really pop.
Knitting: Cowl
The Bermuda Triangle Cowl is a fast and simple knit that only uses 4 stitches: knit, purl, yarn over and knit 2 together. It’s the perfect pattern to show off your beautiful gradient or Ombré DK weight yarn.

Knitting: Wristlet
A simple little purse with a Japanese knot handle. The purse is made up of two circles that are knit from the center out and sewn together. For the handles you pick up stitches along the border of one of the circles and work in seed stitch in order to get a sturdy fabric.

This cowl is very light and lacy and therefore well suited to wear in warm southern regions. The inspiration came from the TV show Outlander thus the name Southlander. It combines the styles of Claire’s beautifully knitted capes and cowls and Jamie’s drapy kilts with the “shoulder throw”.
Knitting: Cowl
The Miss Lizzi cowl pattern includes both versions shown in the pictures, one with a longer triangle and one that is shorter with stripes. Both cowls are knitted from the bottom up with the border worked flat in garter stitch short rows. After completing the border you join to knit the body of the cowl in the round. From there on it’s mindless ...

The shrug is knit in one piece sideways. It is a quick and simple knit/purl project that will make an elegant piece. The stripes are created by holding the yarn 3 ply using the Navajo Knitting technique. This is such a fun and smart technique and will break up the monotonous stockinette stitch.
