Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks were originally inspired by an Art Nouveau themed magazine call back in Summer 2021. After playing with various stitch swatches, what I got instead was a stitch pattern that reminded me more of the Impossible Geometry that is so prevalent in the works of M.C. Escher.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This pattern started years ago when I was first really starting to experiment with both sock design and using self-striping and gradient yarns. I liked how the various gradients worked up when knit on the bias, rather than just plain gradients and stripes, but it never quite came together in a way I really wanted.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
Beautifully cabled and designed to fit up to an 18-inch calf, the Luckenbach socks are equally adept at being shown off in walking shoes or keeping you cozy in cowboy boots. The cables are simple yet elegant and suitable for anyone with a solid grasp of sock-knitting basics.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
With a deep brim perfect for folding or wearing slouchy and an allover, leaf-inspired lace pattern, the Selcouth Hat will keep your ears snug and hair in place as you dream of wandering along windswept moors.

Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This hat was one of my early forays into crochet design, worked up in the wonderfully squishy and dense Alpine Stitch! The hat comes down over the back of the neck and over the ears, with a dense stitch pattern to keep the wind away and the sizing runs a touch large, to go over headphones, ponytails, and hair buns! It starts at the crown with a...
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The Ar Lan y Môr (Welsh for ‘by the seaside’) Socks were inspired by the ripples of seaweed and other water plants that grow just below the waterline of many lakes, rivers and seas around the world, as well as the imagery of the Welsh folk song of the same name – flowers and grasses rippling beside the sea.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl materialized from the question of ‘what do I do with one skein of Gradient Sock Yarn if I’m not making socks?’
Crochet: Scarf
Where did this scarf and hood start? I wanted a hood and scarf that even a newcomer to crochet could make and was inspired by this beautiful but, simple, crochet lace stitch pattern. By adding some seaming to make a hood, a beautiful, unique accessory is created that even a beginner can make!
Knitting: Mittens
The original inspiration for Woodland Mittens was the Woodland Hat, which I designed a few years ago for the (now defunct, sadly), Ravelry Designer’s Challenge based on a woodland theme. This stitch pattern brought to my mind the image of moss in the knots of trees, with it’s double-moss stitch enclosed within the cable sections.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl was created as part of the Initiate Knit Design Challenge, hosted by Francoise Danoy of Aroha Knits. The goal of the challenge was to help people get their design ideas off the ground, and this super-bulky lace and cable cowl was the result!
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
Inspiration for this Mitered Drawstring Project Bag came from the (sadly, now defunct), Ravelry Designer’s Challenge. The challenge was to create a bag using mitered squares, and this was the result! I was looking for something durable, big enough to be a project bag for my knitting, and something that would use up those leftover skeins I had i...
Knitting: Drawstring Bag
The Ribbed Bag of Many Things came about as something I made up for my roommate to put her headphones and mp3 player in, but it could be used to hold just about anything!. It’s a bag knit in the round using 1 by 1 ribbing, then seamed at the bottom with whip stitch, or mattress stitch if you prefer. Eyelets at the top allow for a twisted cord o...
