This is a multi-gauge pattern. You can use any yarn from bulky (3.5 sts = inch) to DK (5.5 sts = inch). Choose different necklines, stitches, edgings. Add pockets or a collar.

Knitted in 2 pieces and joined in the back, this jacket is loose fitting and has a nice drape. Use a shawl pin for closure.

The instructions for each size and weight of yarn are determined by knitting a gauge and then following the charts for that particular gauge. That is why the pattern references ‘options’. It makes the pattern very versatile in that it is good for many different types of yarns but tricky for a novice knitter.
