Knitting: Hot Water Bottle
This hot water bottle cover is worked in the round and has a band of reverse stocking stitch running across it. It is knitted with the yarn held double to give a firm fabric and some interesting colour effects. It is finished by a ribbon threaded through and eyelet row in the top. It will fit an average sized hot water bottle
Knitting: Tube Sock
These lovely thick socks are great for wearing the around the house in the chilly winter months. They have very simple calf and toe shaping and don’t have any heel shaping and are finished by a couple of small pom poms on the back.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
This little blanket is very simple, featuring squares of stocking stitch and reverse stocking stitch to give a checkerboard effect, and the same pattern on each side. Knitting: Scarf
This short scarf has bands of stocking stitch and rib. It only uses one ball for this length, and knits up very quickly on 7mm needles so this pattern would be great for a beginner.
Knitting: Pullover
This is a simple baby jumper with the added bonus of putting a name on the front. The pattern comes with the right size chart for each size and instructions on filling it in with your name. It has a contrast rib and rolled stocking stitch edges. You will need one ball of contrast and up to 2 balls of the main colour.
Knitting: Beret, Tam
This is a very simple relaxed beret style hat, with contrast rib. It takes one 50g ball (even if you do the whole hat in one colour) and knits up in no time on 5.5mm needles.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These seamless socks are a great birthday or Christmas present for dads, husbands, boyfriends, etc.
Knitting: Cardigan
This little cardigan has a moss stitch yoke and sleeves to add interest to a simple design. The body is worked in one piece to the armholes, and so is the yoke. It is available in three premature sizes, 0-6 months and 6-12 months.
Knitting: Cowl
This chunky cowl is knitted in a wavy lace pattern and the cast on and off edges are sewn together to create a cowl. It only uses one ball and knits up very quickly!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These mitts have simple fairisle bands in a mottled yarn, and an afterthought thumb that can be ommitted if you chose. These come in one size to fit an average ladies hand, and are knitted in the round. They use less than one ball of each yarn.
Knitting: Pullover
This snug fitting jumper was designed specifically for someone who hates baggy jumpers! If you prefer a slightly looser fit, chose the size up. This jumper has raglan seams and sleek K3, P1 rib throughout. Although a DK yarn, I have used a 3.75mm needle as it gives the rib a slightly tighter neater look :)
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl is a nice quick knit. It uses less than one ball of Noro Tokonatsu, and is easily made in an evening, perfect for a last minute gift. As it’s a cotton and silk blend it’s lovely and soft around your face and not too warm for the late summer days where you just need that little extra warmth.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
A cabled cushion cover done in earthy stripes, great for a bachelor pad. The cover is suitable for an 18” cushion pad and is sewn up around the cushion so make sure you use a washable yarn. You need 2 balls of each colour yarn.
Knitting: Pullover
Lavender is delicate baby jumper, with intarsia green sections for the leaves and textured stitches for the lavender flowers themselves. It is knitted in a lovely shade of Stylecraft’s Special DK called Parma Violet, one of their newer shades. It has green accents on the edges to add that extra little detail.

This textured kindle cover is suitable for most kindle types and is a pretty way to keep your kindle safe from knocks. It features moss stitch hearts along the bottom and a moss stitch envelope style top, no fiddly poppers or velcro. Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This simple little set is a nice quick knit for a new arrival. The hat is very simple and the boots would be great for an ambitious beginner. This pattern comes in three sizes and even the largest size uses less than a ball of Special DK.
Crochet: Pullover
This jumper is crocheted sideways in rich jewel tones of Debbie Bliss Angel, a lovely mix of silk and mohair. The lace pattern is only two rows and looks like little crowns! This pattern is very easy to adjust to whatever size you need, and the sleeves are worked down from the shoulders so you can get a perfect fit.
Knitting: Ankle Sock
These fluffy sparkly socks are just the cutest! They feature a lacy top and a large lacy frill on the ankle, perfect for pairing with ballet pumps or heels or just if you’re feeling a bit girly and silly! This pattern is adjustable and will fit a UK size 4-6 and uses just one 25g ball of Party Angel.
Crochet: Animal Toy
A cute amigurumi version of the pokemon Slowbro. Using only dc stitches, each piece is worked separately and in the round and sewed up at the end. You will need a pair of 9mm black eyes, or you can embroider them on.
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
These crochet mitts are super simple, worked all in trebles and easy to customise. These are made in DK yarn with a 5mm hook so are quite stretchy and will fit quite a range of hand sizes. You can add buttons, crochet flowers or whatever you like to make them look different.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This bobble hat has a fair isle band that changes the hat from grey to gold. It is knitted in the round and finished with a little bobble. This hat is made to match a glove pattern (Goldfingers) and if you make both you only need one 100g ball of charcoal and one 50g ball of gold.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These little socks are a baby staple. They are knitted in the round and the foot length can be adjusted. I can get two pairs from one 25g ball of My First Regia 4ply or you can use up oddments of adult sock yarn.
Knitting: Pullover
This relaxed raglan, wide round neck jumper is easy to wear and to knit. The body features a stripe pattern with two rows of moss stitch in an accent colour to add some texture. It is made in Noro Tonkonastsu, one of their few ‘plain’ yarns, it has a lovely tweedy texture, hard to do it justice in the photos!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks have a small lace leaf pattern on the leg and a smooth stocking stitch foot, great for wearing with walking boots.
Knitting: Knee-highs
These socks have a cabled turn up at the top, perfect for wearing with winter boots in the snow, or inside for cosy toes. These socks have a heel flap, ribbed calf section and leg shaping, the foot length is adjustable.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks have a simple cable pattern down the front of the foot, with a plain stocking stitch bottom half and will fit a UK size 4-6. The yarn is a beautiful mix of silk and sea cell, slightly unusual but smooth and soft!
Knitting: Gloves
These gloves aren’t as complicated as they look, all the colour work is done with a constant number of stitches. These are in two sizes, for those with slightly daintier hands and a more average size.
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
This simple but effective cushion cover has a long rib and cable section on each side. Knits up very quickly in chunky, and there’s not too many cables to slow you down!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
These fingerless gloves are knitted on the bias, giving a nice diagonal stripe pattern when knitting with this sock yarn. The thumb is added on after so they are quite simple to knit. (I have also written a pattern for a matching triangular shawl in this yarn, available on my Ravelry)
Knitting: Cowl
This completely seamless cowl is knitted with a provisional cast on and grafted. Three colours are used for cute spots on the outside and single row stripes on the inside and this British wool is very cosy and warm to snuggle up to in the cold.
Knitting: Hats - Other
This tea bag style hat is lovely and soft in alpaca chunky and features little textured hearts, a mock cable on the rib and some fur pompoms on the corners. The little hearts are in both written and charted instructions so follow whatever’s easiest.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These warm orange socks have a delicate butterfly slip stitch pattern around the cuff and on the top of the foot. These socks can be done in any 4 ply but using a multi-coloured yarn may make the butterflies get a bit lost! These socks will fit an average ladies foot UK size 4-6.
Knitting: Hot Water Bottle
This simple hot water bottle cover features a large cable up the front and garter stitch on the back, a great project for an enthusiastic beginner! This is sized to fit a normal hot water bottle.
