Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Have two beautiful skeins of sock yarn that you aren’t sure how to use? This lovely stole is the solution! Use two different colorways, even two different base yarns, so long as both are fingering weight (Cat. 1), and you’ll get a lush stole that can be worn over your shoulders or as an oversized scarf.
Knitting: Cowl
This squishy-soft and cozy-warm cowl features a stranded pattern that shifts the yarn from one color to another, then back again on the other side. Start with a provisional cast-on, then finish with a three-needle bind-off. The fair isle pattern is fun to knit as the dominant color shifts and shifts back again. Reversible, superwarm and a blast...
Knitting: Cowl
This pattern is shown in self-striping yarn and works beautifully to show off the color changes, but it would also look terrific in a handpainted yarn.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Month 2 of the Sip Sip Knit Yarn Club: the Minibar Collection, this shawl is inspired by lime, rum, and mint -- the Mojito! Club members received a 100g skein of the MC in a semisolid green, along with 4 miniskeins in dyed-to-match CCs.An easy and fun slip-stitch pattern lets you put the stripes right where you want ‘em.
Knitting: Poncho
A lush fingering weight yarn is knit at larger-than-typical gauge for drape and swing. Ruffled edging adds just a touch of contrast. Generous sizing makes this an easy layering piece you’ll love wearing.
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf is affordable luxury: it uses just one skein of the decadent pure silk Heaven’s Hand Sister Silk and a skein of handpainted Black Bunny Fibers lace weight (shown in Oakdale, but any lace weight will work just fine). Start by knitting the silk base of the scarf in garter stitch, with short rows to create a curved line; then pick up st...
Knitting: Cowl
The first shipment in our miniskeins series, exclusive to the Sip Sip Knit Yarn Club, a collaboration between designer Brooke Nico and Black Bunny Fibers. Inspired by the blue bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin, four miniskeins are handdyed in gorgeous gradations of blue, from turquoise to dark cobalt.

Knitting: Cowl
A great introduction to lace, this cowl is knit in the round without seams. Lace patterning is done every other round, giving you a break from pattern on alternate rounds. A great pattern for handpainted yarns, as the eyelets help break up the pooling that many handpaints display.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The fourth pattern in the first round of the Pairings Yarn Club, this shawl/wrap was inspired by the rich colors of sangria and the red cape of a matador. Knit from the bottom up, in rows, and can be made longer if desired by adding rows.
Knitting: Cowl
This cowl was designed by lace maven Brooke Nico as part of the Pairings Yarn Club, month 3. Inspired by the Italian wine Chianti, the cowl features a Milanese lace pattern and a kettle-dyed deep red yarn, a match made in heaven. It’s a wonderful project suited for a single skein of handpainted laceweight yarn!
Knitting: Cowl
Mix a skein of handdyed Francesca (by Black Bunny Fibers) and a small amount of a solid, and whip up this fun cowl. Warm and cozy -- and full of the beautiful handdyed colors that only Black Bunny Fibers can create. (If you prefer, you can make the entire cowl with just the handpainted skein, but I love the way a solid color picks up one of the...
Knitting: Hats - Other
Easy and quick to knit, this hat was designed for the thick-and-thin texture of Black Bunny Fibers Thorndale yarn. One skein is all you need. Ribbed brim and slouchy top give flexible fit.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The second pattern in the Pairings Yarn Club, this hat was inspired by the twists and turns of the grapevine. Cable panel is set off by ribs for a flexible fit. Unisex. Two options to customize it: add some leaves and/or throw in a random mock cable as part of the ribbing to mimic the twists of a real grapevine stem.
Knitting: Cape
The first pattern in the Pairings Yarn Club -- Wine edition, designed by Brooke Nico especially for Black Bunny Fibers. An easy-to-knit capelet, knit in one piece from side to side, with a ribbon and button closure. The pattern was inspired by the cool citrus-y colors of a wine spritzer, and the BBF sock yarn was dyed to match.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
Three colors of a luscious handpainted yarn make this capelet a sensational accent piece. Of course, there’s no reason why you couldn’t opt for a single color, or use small amounts of many colors,
Knitting: Cowl
This delightful cowl is a great introduction to stranded colorwork. Originally published in The Knitter magazine, the pattern is now available from my Ravelry shop. The colorwork pattern is provided in both chart and written-out forms.
Knitting: Cowl
Just one skein of bulky-weight handdyed yarn is all you need for this cozy cowl. Knits up fast so it’s a great gift item. Can be worn folded over or unfolded, your choice! Add an extra row of garter stitch or two if you don’t like the rolled edge but it does look super cute.

Knitting: Scarf
A charming unisex scarf, easy to knit with just knits and purls. A reversible asymmetrical border and checkerboard pattern give textural interest. Knitting: Scarf
Terrific way to play with handpaints: this scarf takes four mini-skeins of handpainted yarn and gives the knitter the option of casting on the long edge and knitting long vertical stripes (shown in the brown/yellow/orange colorway) or casting on the traditional way and making blocks of color (shown in the blue/purple/pink colorway). Pattern inc...

50% of the purchase price from this pattern will be contributed to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Research Center to assist in the fight against pancreatic cancer, which claimed my father’s life in December 2009.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A terrific cuff-down sock option for a man -- but it would also look wonderful for a woman, too. This pattern features a cable rib stitch that is easy to learn and contains a great deal of stretch; this makes it a little challenging to measure an exact gauge, but means that it will fit lots of different-sized feet. Comes in Adult S/M/L, with ci...
