The Roland Sweater is based on a photograph from 1895, showing Roland Andreasen, born 1822. Roland is wearing a sweater with an all-over color pattern. This sweater type is known in Denmark as an “Icelandic” sweater, although it was actually one of many wool articles traded from the Faroe Islands.
