Crochet: Tote
This tote bag features a lattice stitch center flanked by braided cables. There is a tree of life traveling stitck on the ends (gussets) and a plain single crochet bottom.
Crochet: Skirt, Poncho
This poncho can double as a skirt. It is light and breezy, and could be worn lower on the shoulders or even around the bust as a swimsuit coverup. It may also be made longer (with additional yarn) to make it more like a strapless dress.
Crochet: Pullover
Light as a feather oversized pullover with raglan shoulder, worked from the neck down in a lovely shell stitch.
Crochet: Shrug / Bolero
The pattern has two versions, both of which may be customized to suit you. Sleeves may be made fitted or loose; the body short or long.
Crochet: Cape
The colorway of Rowan Tapestry Yarn used is Lakeland. This pattern would look very nice using nearly any DK weight yarn with softly changing colors.
Crochet: Pullover
A lightweight, textured V-neck perfect for midseason wear, in a wonderfully soft, comfortable yarn (70% virgin wool, 22% silk, 8% cashmere). The yarn has been discontinued; possible substitutes include Debbie Bliss Rialto 4 Ply, and nearly any fingering weight sock yarn.
Crochet: Poncho
This poncho may be made with nearly any yarn and for any size individual. That’s why I haven’t stated a gauge.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Materials: Koigu Painter’s Palette Premium Merino, approximately 400 grams of yarn (total) in a number of different colorways. This would equate to 8 50-gram balls. Size J hook or size to obtain gauge. Gauge: After 5 rows, triangle should measure 6” across the top and 4” on each of the two sides. Dimensions of finished shawl: 80” wide at top; 3...
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
This generously-sized shawl is made in one piece from the center back. Gauge isn’t terribly important as long as you are producing a soft, draping fabric.
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
Two designs are included in the pattern. One is a fingerless glove in laceweight cashmere that can be for men as well as women. One 400-yd skein of Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere will make three pairs of these “gloves”.
Crochet: Skirt
A photograph cannot capture the movement of this skirt when you walk. It floats from side to side in a graceful, flirty motion that is flattering to every body type.
Crochet: Shawl / Wrap
Shawl dimensions: 65.5” wide along bottom; 31” deep (before shawl collar is added).
Crochet: Fingerless Gloves
Two designs are included in this pattern. One is a spiral stitch full-length arm warmers that is wildly popular with teens and 20’s girls. They may be made, as shown, in several colors of Koigu PPPM (good way to use up your leftovers), or in one color. They also look terrific in a shorter version, using much less yarn.
Crochet: Sleeveless Top, Scarf, Accessories - Other
This square-necked sweater may be worn as a vest over something else or as a tank top on a sunny day
Crochet: Scarf
This scarf may be made with fingering, sport, DK, or worsted weight yarn and in nearly any fiber. Generally, smooth yarns look best.
Knitting: Scarf
This sock yarn, with 20% alpaca, made an incredibly soft and beautiful scarf. The project could easily be made with other fingering or sock weight yarn, but without alpaca it might not be as soft.
Crochet: Beanie, Toque
This is a great way to practice post stitches; if you don’t love them when you begin the hat, I hope you will by the time it’s finished.
