With only 3 months until Christmas, we are working like crazy to create ideas that make your holiday handmades happen fast! Lace designer, Velvet Dishon, came up with an exciting and fun holiday knit along. Join our Victorian Christmas knit-along featuring 3 gorgeous shawls designed just for YarnZone.com friends. Each shawl will be delivered in 3 parts beginning Sunday October 3rd. You can jump in any time, of course. Velvet will be on Ravelry throughout the knit-along to answer questions.
Each of the 3 shawls is a rectangle stole shape with elements of Orenburg Lace, and Victorian stole construction. We will kick of this adventure with Lillian, a pattern that is written out (and charted for those who prefer). It will be knit using 2 cones of SWTC Xie. Isabelle will be created in SWTC Jezebel, a wool yarn from Uruguay. It is a charted pattern - but don’t worry, you will have Velvet to support, guide, and teach along the way. Finally, our last and grandest design, Lady Cora, will use 2 more cones of SWTC Xie Bamboo and be a charted design featuring a show stopping snowflake motif in the center panel.
- all patterns included stitch counts throughout because you requested it!
Patterns will be delivered weekly starting Sunday, October 3rd via Ravelry.com in the form of a .pdf download. Shortly after purchase, we’ll send you a confirmation that your email was entered in Ravelry and let you test the download process so you know how to get your pattern. It’s easy!
If you knit along with us this summer, you found that Velvet closely monitors group activity and is quick to respond to comments, questions, and pattern clarifications suggestions. She is an instructor that wants you to succeed and feel content with your knitting.
