The day has come to introduce you to The Simple Sock Collective. A project that I’ve been secretly working on for the past couple of months!
What a joy it is to share this project with you today!
The Simple Sock Collective is a “secret/mystery knit along/ sock club” featuring three “secret” sock patterns.
Each sock design featured in the collection is knit out a non-superwash, nylon-free, naturally-dyed (breed specific) yarn from three different natural dyers.
Each month from April to June, a new sock will be released (you won’t get to see what the pattern looks like before completing it, nor know which dyer comes next!) and yarn kits from the corresponding dyers will be available for purchase.
The sock patterns will feature some very simple yet engaging stitches that will allow you to relax completely but remain entertained and engaged with your knitting! The sock designs will be stable in your sock drawer; and they might become the first thing that you want to grab to keep your feet warm and toasty. These socks are designed to be the most cosy things for your feet: thicker fabric, and cosy textures!
How does it work?
There are two sign up options if you want to join in: you can purchase the three patterns upfront for a discounted price. Or you can purchase the patterns individually (if you like to wait and see what the patterns actually look like!).
Each month from April to June, a new pattern will be released. I won’t be sharing any pictures of the sock pattern itself, so you will only be able to discover what the sock will look like as you will work on it.
At the end of the first month, once the second sock pattern will be ready to launch, I will share pictures of the first pattern, then we will start working on the second mystery pattern!
The cover picture from the Simple Sock Collective will be available to download, so you can use it on social medias and here on Ravelry to avoid showing spoilers (you can then share pictures of your progress in the next pictures, so when someone lands on your page they won’t be spoiled with the actual pattern).
