Advertised on page 15 of Stitchcraft, January 1949, as one of “three latest hits of the Stitchcraft/P&B Series of 10d books”. This Stitchcraft magazine came out towards the end of December 1948.

Also, in this book is a copy of a pattern first published in the Stitchcraft magazine of February 1948. The book would be issued after that. We can be pretty certain of the year of publication.

There are at least 2 different Stitchcraft Mens Books without an edition number, so the publication year has been added to the name.
