The Montreal Set was inspired by my best friend. She’s living in Canada and needs really warm accessories for the cold, cold winters there.
The hat is worked from the top down, so it can be easily adjusted for length. The top is worked in stockinette stitch to show off a variegated yarn. The border has really big, short cables in a plain yarn. It is designed to be worn with slight negative ease (1-2 cm (0.5-1’’)).
The loop (available in October) is a really easy knit. It is worked as a long scarf that is either seamed in the end or joined using kitchener stitch to give a loop for style and extra warmth.
The mittens (available in October) come in three sizes, 18/20.5/23 cm (7’’/8’’/9’’) hand circumference. A thumb gusset gives comfort in wearing, while the bulky wool keeps your hands warm even in the coldest winters.
