Having identical (monozygotic) twin girls has inspired a love of designs that are “identical but not the same”. My daughters may share their genes, but they are by no means identical in every respect. These cowls share the same original, ribbed pattern, but knit up in different weights of yarn (just as my own girls are quite different weights) produces visually distinct cowls.

Three patterns are provided - one for each yarn weight listed. Only one size of needles is required for each cowl.

Yardage depends on yarn weight.
Super Bulky and 8mm needles: 100-110yds
Aran/Worsted and 5mm needles: 160-200yds
DK/light worsted: 180-190 yds
