ZZ's Top
Pattern includes instructions for both a set-in sleeve version and a raglan sleeve version.
Be a Knitting Rock Star. In ZZ’s Top, you’ll use short rows to create a band of slanted stripes that zigzags across the bodice of the garment. Thankfully, it’s not as tough as it looks! The short rows are engineered to work seamlessly with the striping pattern, so you can enjoy the knitting and have a blast choosing a color palette! Choose three colors within a gradient, or work in contrasting or complementary colorways.
The set-in sleeve version is worked with a technique first developed by Barbara Walker. A photo tutorial guides you and lets you check your work throughout. The raglan version is included in a separate pdf.
Shaping is at the sides to avoid interfering with slanted stripes, and the garment is intended to be worn with anywhere from -1” to +2” of ease, so choose a size that is closest to your bust measurement.
Both versions are identical below the underarms, and use the same instructions. Raglan knitters will be directed to join the instructions included in the set-in version at this point.
