~This pattern is part of a year-long club, and can only be purchased as part of that club until September 2020, when it will be available for individual sale. Thanks for understanding.~

This sock pattern is perhaps the most personal for me, as it represents a man I consider a dear friend. Zulmay once held a position of quite a lot of authority, advising presidents and generals, and working against terrorism, corruption, and drug trafficking. His work embodied both integrity and compassion, and for me, his name has come to mean dedication, self-sacrifice, and honesty. He has had to abandon his position of authority, for reasons of both health and safety, and has instead taken on the post of teacher and author, in which pursuits he is respected by both colleagues and students. And, I am proud to call him friend. I’d also like to note that he will no doubt be completely flustered at my naming a sock after him.

Skill-level: Intermediate, due to lace stitches without rest-rows, twisted stitches, sock construction
Yarn: 350-400 yards (320-360m) of sock yarn, the socks pictured are a size M, and used approximately 370 yards of Comeragh Yarns and Fibre Sock in the color “Bluebells.”
Needles: US1, 2.25mm, sock needles. The pattern is written for both DPN and magic loop knitting
Tools: tapestry needle, scissors, and tape measure
Sizing: Small (Medium, Large, Extra-large) socks fit approximately 8(9,10,11) inches in circumference, and the leg height, ankle depth, and foot length are all adjustable to preference and fit.
Note: sock fits true to size, the twisted stitches do not restrict the fit, and especially in the larger sizes, the stockinette side panels allow for a true fit.
