Zolotoy
We are continuing our Wild Prairie Knits 2015 Year of Mini Mysteries with socks! On August 15th we will continue our year of Mystery by traveling lavishly by train through the Russian countryside.
Over the course of our six weeks, we will be creating toe up, lacy socks with a little bling up the leg while we “tour” this intriguing country and experience its cities, history and people. Our socks will be worked toe up either one or two-at-a-time. We will be determining our gauge and stitch counts as we go along to make them a perfect fit.
Once again our friends at Stunning String Studio are offering limited “Zolotoy” MKAL Sock yarn kits including yarn in your choice of amazing colors, complete with beads, stitch markers and more!
The clues will be spread out over 6 weeks with simple, non-stressful sections released each week. If you’ve never done a Mystery Knit Along before, you are in for a treat. Discovering the mystery along with your fellow knitters is the best.
The MKAL discussions will be in the Wild Prairie Knits group, so come and join us.
This pattern is knitCompanion® supported. What does that mean?
Details:
Skills: Each clue will be fully written out and charted. The stitches used are all pretty basic, so it is a relaxing knit, but with lots of detail to keep you interested. Basic knit increases and decreases (yo, k2tog, ssk) are included, but anything beyond that will be explained in detail as we go along. We will be offering a good introduction to sock knitting, Judy’s Magic Cast On and lace stitches.

Needles: US 1 (2.25 mm) circular needle(s) or DPNs; or size required to obtain gauge.

Other: 10 Small Stitch Markers, 2 Contrasting Small Stitch Markers, and 2 Locking Stitch Markers
Optional: Seed Beads 6/0 and tool to apply beads, crochet hook, Super Floss or a beading tool.
