This pattern is great for that one beautiful skein of fingering weight yarn you had to have but have no specific pattern for. Knit in the round, this unisex cowl has a textured zig zag ridge pattern on the front and stockinette on the back.

Yarns that would work well for this pattern include tonals, solids, stripes, and slightly speckled. A variegated yarn could be used, but the textured zig zag ridge pattern might be harder to see. Mini skeins could also be used for a fun striped version.
