Zig Zag Jacket 502
I love this pattern! I used 15-20 different LEFTOVERS! 1 or 2 balls of each colour, sometimes only enough for a few rows. BUT, Noro yarn or any self striping yarn would be equally spectacular. This was fun to knit. Not fast by my standards, but very entertaining. The collar is folded and hemmed to the inside to create a facing. Most of the yarn ends will be encased inside the double thickness of the collar.
Written for 4 sizes: 36-54”.
Drop shoulder sleeves are wide and unshaped: 16-18 ins circumference.
Armholes are 8-9 ins deep.
Length to shoulder is: 25 (26, 27, 28) ins

“Many of you may be working on your “Zig Zag Jacket”, and are ready to sew it up. Just in case you are questioning how the collar folds over, I have another photo with the seaming outlined in white. A concerned knitter brought that to my attention. It just seemed like an awful lot of stitches for the fronts. But they are for the collar, so you can wear it open, or overlapped closed.”
“The width of the sweater is including the double layer of collar as well as the back and two fronts. So yes, very wide. The measurements of 36 (42, 48, 54) in are for the body only. The rest is collar, that will be folded inward and doesn’t count in the fit of the garment.”
