This is a subtle slouch hat with substance, knit in the round on size 4 (3.5 mm) 16” circular needles. The top is finished with Kitchener Stitch and written instructions are included; there is no need for double pointed needles! The herringbone band enhances the beauty of Black Diamond Alpaca, a hand-dyed (American grown!) fiber of outstanding quality and a joy to knit. “Zelda” would also be gorgeous in Blue Sky Alpaca Sport Weight or other sport weight yarns in your stash; app 225 are required for the smaller size which fits average adults up to 22” head circumference.
