Zelda ... an easy Aran top
I like to dress in layers, so wearing a short-sleeved or sleeveless top over a long-sleeve shirt really works
for me. I’m also often a bit chilly and need something to keep my torso warm. This is a nice and easy knit with just a little bit of pattern that creates a pretty striped effect.
You could knit it in any yarn, but our Aran Single blend gives it a lovely weight and good drape.
It’s an excellent project for a Beginner knitter as there is no shaping or complex construction and you can test the size as you go.
MATERIALS
4 x Cowgirlblues Aran Single, I used Chilli Pepper
8mm and 6mm 100cm circular needles
SIZE NOTE
This loose fit top knits up ~ 60cm wide and ~50cm long. To make it wider cast on more stitches, or fewer to make it narrower.
Knit more pattern repeats to make it longer or fewer if you prefer shorter.
It’s knit in two pieces so whatever you do to the front make sure to repeat for the back!
If you knit it larger than the pattern as written you will need additional yarn.
